Truly.......the Greatest Gospel Music Writer of our time - there's not a day that goes by that I'm not humming at least One of your songs.

Rest in peace, Dottie.. You are now 'sheltered', as faith has redounded to something tangible.

The News of Dottie was a traumatic news. She was the woman
who, inspired many. The first time i saw her, my dad said baby, you
learn some of her song and sing at church. So, i begin to list to radio
to get the words off the radio so i can sing them, the song that stuck
in my mind was REMIND ME DEAR LORD.The things that i love and
hold dear to my heart, are ,just borrow their not mine at all, jesus
only let me use them to brighten my life so remind me, remind me,
dear lord, what a song to be written with such meaning,Roll, back the'
curtain of memory now and then, show me were you brought me,
from and where i could have been .....remind me I m human and
human forget so remind me remind me dear lord.SO ALL I CAN SAY,
SIS DOTTIE ,HAVE LEFT BUT , WE WILL REMIND OURSELVES OF ALL
THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOT TO KNOW JESUS CHRIST WITH HER]
ANOINTING MUSIC.....WHAT A LAGACY!!!Olga McClanahan

Dear Reba and family,

How sad I was when I learned of the bus accident that took Dottie's life.

I first heard Dottie sing while in my early teens while living near Chattanooga TN. I was so impressed with her that I have every album she has made. Those albums can no longer be played because of the years of use and the many scratches. But the memories behind them are awesome. A lot of years have passed and I still have the love of Dottie and her music that I had back then. My life is so much richer because of the songs God gave to her to write.

I regularly received the emails from Larry. I so enjoyed getting news of her ministry and what she was involved with. Although I did not have the opportunity to meet Dottie in person, I feel I have known her personally all my life. I truly loved her and will miss her greatly.

REBA,
The world mourns with you in disbelief. We lost the lady who so eloquently penned the words that helped all of us express our love for our Lord in ways we could never do on our own. Our hearts ache for you as you travel this unfamiliar and painful road. We will cherish the memories and continue to sing His praises using the melodies and words of a precious saint whose music helped shape many of us spiritually in ways I do not believe she really ever knew. The most precious times I have spent before God were times that I had Dottie's music playing in the background. I feel like I lost a friend. Hugs to you and your family.

I had been receiving emails for the past year or so from Dottie Rambo's Newsletters. I'm so sorry with what has happened to Dottie. I am totally shocked, I can't put it into words. My husband found the information...She is in heaven's portals as she's always wanted to be. I pray she didn't feel any pain when the accident occurred. The song Sheltered In The Arms of God make so much sense now to me and probably to her now. I believe that's how He took her.
Thank God for Heaven....

Dear friends,

I came to Nashville at the ripe old age of 19 yrs old to play piano for this great lady and her family. I was young, and probably not ambitious enough to make the team. I traveled with the group long enough to know that there was something very special about this lady, Dottie Rambo. She oozed with personality, and was the same onstage as off.

That was 35 years ago, and I remember it as if it were yesterday. My group that I started sang Rambo Medleys for years. I tear up just thinking of our loss and heaven's gain. Thankyou for listening to my words about Dottie. I truly will never forget her.

My heart goes out to the family. I know that Reba has always been her best friend. May God bless your lives through this time of sorrow and know that every special moment any of us had with Ms. Rambo should be treasured.

So wonderful that Ms. Rambo used the gift of music that God had given her, to glorify Him. May The Holy Spirit comfort her family at this time. May God watch over her traveling companions who were seriously injured, and have mercy upon them and their families in their time of need now.
