I was so shocked to read of this. But to God be the Glory! I sang "We Shall Behold Him" several time in services and homegoings but see even more now that this song is becoming more and more real to me as the days go by. I truly want to see His Face in peace. I Shall Behold Him! My prayers and thought are with her family and staff. I just discovered today that Dottie Rambo went home to be with the Lord. I was so shocked to read of this. But to God be the Glory! I first saw the RAMBOS at the world's largest Masonic Temple in Detroit, Michigan, which seats 5,000 in about 1968. They were there with the Happy Goodmans, LeFevres and Speers, as I recall. We could see Vestel Goodman backstage raising her hands and worshipping as Dottie sang. For those of you who may not be aware, if you send an e-mail to: Dottie_Rambo-subscribe@yahoogroups.com, the moderator there will add you to Dottie's e-mail list which is still going on. It's a way to continue to share in Dottie's life and legacy. We need to encourage her music company to come out with the CD that she has already recorded. It would also be wonderful if a major motion picture would be made of her lifestory, which is absolutely tremendous. For example, did you know that she was forced to leave home at 12 years of age because of an abusive father? And did you know that the Ku Klux Klan threatened to kill her? If enough people get behind a movie project by letting their desires be known, it could happen! God bless you all as we remember the life of this very remarkable lady! It doesn't seem the same without Dottie and Vestal. But the rejoicing they are doing together in heaven and reflecting on the wonderfull times here on earth and all that singing....amazing......the Christian world seems just a little quieter now without them.... I LOVED there music, lryics, listening to there testimonies. As an Adult, I continued to always remember with favor there music and kept a deep Respect for Dottie and daughter Reeba.
